It’s no myth that us at wildthing.com are HUGE fans of Elrow events, and so are our customers! Elrow is a party like no other exploding in colour, confetti and glitter, there is something really special in the way that people can dress as fun and bold as they like, the party goer crowd was not lacking in glitter or fancy dress.
When we seen that an Elrow event was taking place in our hometown, Bristol, we couldn’t wait to jump on that ship!
Here’s what the organisers had to say about the event called ‘Rowmudas’…. ‘ Ibiza. Saturday, September 16th, 2017. Elrow threw a party on a pirate ship with a definite sparRow vibe. But somewhere between Atlantis and Es Vedrá the ship went off course and entered the white island’s wildest waters: the Rowmuda Triangle. The music and the noise of the crowd awoke and infuriated the Craken, the island’s most dangerous animal. This savage underwater creature swallowed the pirate boat in just one bite, setting the partygoers off on a surreal journey deep inside the Craken. The party on-board the boat had already been pretty fantastic, but this took them into a completely different dimension. Words cannot describe what they experienced in the Rowmuda Triangle. Imagine an insane mix of The Island, Lost and also Alive; a wild fiesta full of shipwrecks, crashed planes, insane sea creatures and hippy communes under the sea. The party everybody was talking about, “THE PARTY OF ETERNAL HAPPINESS”. ‘

Nozstock is one of the UK’s longest running festivals –
family-run, very much home-made and proudly independent on a beautiful working
farm set upon rolling hills. The Nosworthy family continue to curate one of the
UK’s finest emporiums of music, arts, food and drink, with a huge focus on
keeping all kids and families entertained in the Little Wonderland Kids Area.
It’s a gloriously eccentric, wildly imaginative and
decadently off-kilter brain-shift with incredible detail at every turn, a small
festival with a very big heart which continues to chart its own path, far away
from commercialisation and following the flock. Nozstock is a transcendental
experience which creates its own sense of unity and escapism from the real
world for a few precious days.
The last two decades of magic set on Rowden Paddocks has
created a sublime adventure for all the ages, and now, entering its 21st
season in 2019, Nozstock once more will enchant, inspire and illuminate all who
The festival encourages artists
to experiment and embraces a peerless array of sounds and styles across a
scintillating spectrum, from disco, house and techno, through to dub, reggae,
funk and Balearic. Taking in locations including intimate beach-side dancing,
pulsating boat parties, the mesmeric Olive Grove, Garden Stage action, the
iconic open-air club, Barbarella’s, and the Secret Island Party which brings
the whole journey to a glorious climax, it has evolved into a journey unlike
any other, following its own unified beat on the Dalmatian coast.
Artists include: Loyle Carner, Mabel, Shame, The Magic Gang, Louis Berry, Blaenavon,
Confidence Man, The Tea Street Band, King No-One, Kara Marni, Clean Cut Kid, Soak,
Stella Donnelly, Spinn, Red Rum Club, The Jungle Giants, Husky Loops, Our Girl,
Ryan McCullen, Estrons, Sophie and the Giants, Molly Rainford, Jvck James,
Benny Mails, Heavy Lungs and many more
Embracing the wild spirit of discovery, the
electrically-charged festival is again set to showcase 100s of the very best
emerging bands, artists and performers from across the world and closer to
home, as well as genre-defining headliners. Celebrating its 12th year
as one of the UK’s defining city-based festivals, it’s an eclectic multi-venue
experience with the chance to see many artists, bands and performers up close
in a series of intimate spaces.
Now established back in the city centre, the festival
enters 2019 with two of the UK’s most forward-thinking and dynamic headliners. The
festival weekend starts with the Sound City+ conference on Friday 4th
May, featuring a full day of illuminating, engaging and inspiring keynote speeches,
interviews, roundtable debates, workshops, business meetings and much more.
Love Saves The Day 2019 will take place on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May in Eastville park, Bristol. Not only is it our local festival, but it kick starts Festival Season, so this festival is ALWAYS on our list.

Tokyo World has quickly become a staple of the Bristol and UK festival scene, and never fails to close the
season with a bang. Taking place in mid-September for 2018; headliners such as Action Bronson, Sister
Sledge, Groove Armada, Mike Skinner and Lady Leshurr top the festival’s line-up which has already
made headlines just a few days after its release.
Once again the Tokyo World line-up is daringly eclectic with an added dimension this year of many more
live bands. These include names such as headliners Sister Sledge & Morcheeba, as well as Submotion
Orchestra, Dub Pistols, Dreadzone, Stereo MC’s and Bristol’s very own Laid Blak.
“We have always been supportive of the next generation of festival goers, and always will be,” said Soizic
Hagège, part of the event management team at Tokyo World. “And the significant inclusion of many live
bands this year on the new Live Stage is something we’re very much looking forward to.”
This is evident from the line up for this year’s event. Tokyo World has always been known as a festival on
the forefront of modern music, with a focus on contemporary artists pushing new sounds. And now, with
the expansion of the programming, the organisers are expecting an even wider audience and
demographic this year.
It goes without saying that the Mutiny Stage boasts a stellar line up Drum and Bass artists and this year’s
main headliner for the Mutiny Stage is yet to be revealed. What’s more, the Hedonism Stage, will for the
second year in a row host a cutting edge selection of House royalty, with: Erick Morillo, Maya Jane Coles,
Steve Lawler, Kerri Chandler and Danny Tenaglia as the main headliners over both days.
Fans of Hip Hop and Grime will not be disappointed either, as they’ll be able to enjoy sets by Ace Hood,
Lethal Bizzle, Little Simz, Nadia Rose, Not3s and Ms Banks – all featured on the festival’s iconic Vulkano
“We are working hard to be as inclusive as possible, and to integrate the full scope of both innovative and
timeless music, but also of music fans and festival goers,” Soizic explained. “We truly feel that diversity
and unity are what makes music festivals unique, and these are the values we strive to design our event
The event runs from midday to around 11pm on the 22nd and 23rd of September, but there are also
official after-parties for both days at Motion for those who want to keep on dancing. Acts are yet to be
announced for this year, but both after-parties will mainly feature Electronic and Urban music artists with a
splash of Drum and Bass.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, it is safe to assume that the Tokyo World organizers will continue
to explore all the ways in which Tokyo World’s values can come into play in music events and to keep
pushing the boundary of this ever growing Bristol grassroots festival.
“We want festival goers to be completely immersed in the Tokyo World ethos,” Soizic tells us. “All our
work is for people to have a memorable experience, and we are constantly thinking of new ways to bring

Boomtown has always been on Wildthing’s to do list, every year we say we’re going to go but some how we’ve never made it! The amount of times we’ve been told, ” you would love Boom Town” and wandered what people meant, this year the Wild thing Girls are finally going to find out! Who’s with us? Time to break out of our office in Bristol and head to the biggest growing city that is Boomtown…
What sets the festival apart from the rest, is the festivals story… once upon a time in 2009 there was a man named Nicholas Boom, every year a district is born and the revolution takes over. From The Wild West to the Rave Yard the city grows deeper and deeper each year, Lions Den, Sector 6 and now the new Diss-order alley. You can’t but help naturally fall into character and become a citizen of the Boomtown.
Our adrenaline is pumping and brains whizzing at Wildthing headquarters as we caught up with the story and got accustomed with the districts. What new districts and town people are lurking around each corner, will we be chilling at Paradise Heights? Or getting wavey down Old Town?
Get into character
